It is quite unfortunate that due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, the original schedules of Grand Slam tennis tournaments have been canceled. Still, a number of European tennis tours are currently taking place, which suggests that sportsbooks are now offering tennis betting opportunities.

The International Tennis Federation (ITF), partners with the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) and the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) in governing professional tennis players and in organizing Grand Slam tournaments. However, in light of the crowd restrictions imposed by governments, schedules of the 2020 major tournaments have been moved at a later date this year, if not pushed back to happen in 2021.

The 2020 Australia Open qualifying matches transpired prior to the global lockdowns, from January 14 to February 02 in Melbourne. However, other major tournaments where top seed tennis players are looking to bag a Grand Slam feat, will have to wait.

The 2020 US Open tours were suspended in March 2020, but have been rescheduled to start on August 17 with ATP Citi Open in Washington, followed by the ATP Western and Southern Open in Cincinnati on August 22, and finally the ATP US Open in New York on August 31.

the French Open

The French Open, which was originally scheduled last May 24 has been moved to September 30, 2020. The good news is that the French Tennis Federation (FTF) has ruled out closed door events, saying

Other Tennis Tournaments Happening in Europe

Despite cancellations and postponements of the Grand Slam tours, there are quite a number of tennis competitions taking place in Europe. Tennis sports fans need only to check the tennis betting opportunities currently being offered by sportsbooks that include but not limited to International Tennis Series 2020 Exhibition, Austrian Pro Series Grand Slam Tennis Tours Matchplay 120 Men and Grand slam Tennis Tours Matchplay 120 Women.

Although the tournaments are taking place mostly in Europe, Asians are just as interested in the betting products offered for tennis matches. After all, several online sports betting sites were able to keep their Asian customers happy despite the COVID-19 lockdowns, even by just providing them a wide selection of online casino games.

In fact, not a few Western sports bettors prefer to place wagers in Asia mobile gambling platforms like 918Kiss, which used to operate under the online brand SCR888. Mainly because their Euros can buy more sports bets when staked in an Asian sports betting site. The SCR888 software can now be accessed via a 918kiss download of an application for Android or iOS-supported devices. .
