The former Tennis legend John McEnroe has praised World No. 1 Novak Djokovic, who has clinched 2012 Australian Open championship crown for third time in his career last month in Melborune.

Seven-time Grand Slam holder John McEnroe said Novak Djokovic has becoming tougher than ever to beat him in men’s singles and pushed his level of tennis to unbelievable. He added Djokovic on his way like former American tennis greats Andre Agassi and Jimmy Connors, who has eight major titles. McEnroe thinks it’s a golden moment for Serbian, where he has clinched two ATP Tour titles so far in this 2012 season at Qatar Open and Australian Open in January.

Djokovic has been growing as one of the best player in tennis sport and hopes to win more majors in his career. The American tennis legend feels Bernard Tomic and Milos Raonic are the two amazing prospect for the new generation of tennis players, who is having the ability to win major titles. Andy Murray has been playing great tennis from past season, but it’s unfortunate to lose thrilling 2012 Australian Open semi finals against top seed Djokovic.

The 16-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer has been playing good tennis at the moment, but it’s tough to win a major at the age 30 says McEnroe. He added Swiss Maestro needs to focus more on his fitness.

However, the Belgium, Clijsters has been knocked out in a thrilling three set encounter against Belarus world No.3, Victoria Azarenka with a score line of 6-4 1-6 6-3 to cruise into the finals of the 2012 Australian Open.

Clijsters while speaking to the reporters, after losing the match has said that, she is pleased with her performance on the return to the tennis circuit after a very long injury layoff.

Clijsters added that, she is really happy and proud to fight tough few tough matches and admitted that, she could have been home two-days earlier, but, showing 200% in each and every match, since last tow weeks has saved.

Belgium speaking about her futures plans has said that, that’s definitely been one of the frustrations that I think I’ve had over these last couple of years, or even since I’ve come back, is that I haven’t really been able to give it a good shot at the French Open. It is a challenge. It’s one of the goals that I have this season.

Clijsters, after losing the match has rallied towards the exit door and everyone at the Rod Laver Arena knew that it would be her last Australian Open campaign and said goodbye to her with a big prolonged round of applause.

The 16-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer has been thrashed out of the 2012 Australian Open semi finals against his old rival Rafael Nadal, who has reached championship final for second time in career.

The former World No. 1 Roger Federer said it’s really hard to lose Australian Open semi final against Rafael Nadal at Rod Laver Arena on Thursday night, where he has fall in four sets with a 6-7, 6-2, 7-6, 6-4 score line. Federer, who has not won a single Grand Slam crown, since winning his last major at 2010 Australian Open beating World No. 4 Andy Murray in final in three sets with a 6–3, 6–4, 7–6(13–11).

The 30-year-old Federer was in-form player to end the 2011 season and won three consecutive ATP Tour titles at Basel, Paris and ATP World Tour Finals. Swiss Maestro, who has reached 2011 French Open final at Roland Garros, but failed to prove himself as a winner against king of clay Rafael Nadal. However, it’s very tough to win a Grand Slam championship at the age of 30, where he will get another chance to win a Grand Slam at Wimbledon in All England Club, which will begin from 27th June in London.

The World No. 1 Novak Djokovic will take on Britain top seed Andy Murray in the 2012 Australian Open semi final on Friday 27th January at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne Park.
