Bryan twins win doubles title

tennisBob and Mike Bryan won the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals title to ensure they finish the year ranked number one.

The American twins, winners in 2003 and 2004, defeated seventh seeds Max Mirnyi and Andy Ram 7-6 (7-5) 6-3 at London’s O2 Arena today to leapfrog Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic in the rankings.

Mirnyi and Ram had beaten the Bryans in their first group match but they could not engineer a repeat today, the Americans securing the only break of serve in the second set.

Bryan and Bryan finish on top of the rankings for the fifth time in the last seven years.(source)

Soderling and Davydenko collide in London

Tennis, ATP World TourIn what is sure to be a hard-hitting evening match on Friday, Robin Soderling and Nikolay Davydenko will battle as Davydenko attempts to secure a spot in the semifinals.

This match might not be as glamorous as some of the others in this Tour Final, but it may just feature some of the best tennis of the week. Both Nikolay Davydenko of Russia and Sweden’s Robin Soderling are outstanding indoor players.
