World No. 1 Serena Williams will come back to action in 2014 WTA Mutua Madrid Masters tournament, which will kick off from 5th to 12th May, being played here on outdoor clay courts at the Park Manzanares in Madrid.
32-year-old Serena Williams has been playing good tennis from beginning of 2014 season, where she is going to begin clay court campaign at the Mutua Madrid Masters next month. American star is having remarkable record at the Park Manzanares, as he won two consecutive Mutua Madrid Masters titles in 2012 and 2013. She is looking very aggressive to repeat similar successes to lift third Madrid Masters, ahead of International BNL d’Italia in Rome Masters.
17-time singles Grand Slam winner Serena Williams has showed amazing performance last year on clay courts, but she can face tricky challenge against her rivals 2014 Australian Open winner Li Na, Belarus Victoria Azarenka and Radwanska in Mutua Madrid Masters. Serena Williams has defeated four-time Grand Slam winner Maria Sharapova in last year’s final in two sets with a 6-1, 6-4 to clinch 2013 Madrid Masters. Serena wants to give 100 percent performance in Madrid Masters and Rome Masters, ahead of the French Open Championship.
