World No. 1 Rafael Nadal will play his next ATP tournament at the 2014 BNP Paribas Open tournament, schedule to kick off from March 3 to 16 being played here on outdoor hard courts at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden in Indian Wells.
27-year-old Rafael Nadal is going to defend the 2014 BNP Paribas Open next month, where he has thrashed 2009 US Open winner Juan Martin Del Potro in three sets with a 4-6, 6-3, 6-4. Spaniard has showed great performance last year in Indian Wells and hopes to continue similar form this year to clinch fourth time in his career. Nadal has won previous titles in 2007, 2009 and 2013, where he is looking forward to give tough challenge to his opponents.
Rafael Nadal is likely travel to Indian Wells soon, where he will be training on hard courts along with his coach and Uncle Toni Nadal. Nadal has been playing outstanding tennis from the beginning of the season by winning Qatar Open and Rio de Janeiro Open so far in 2014. Spanish star has won Rio de Janeiro crown on Sunday beating Alexandr Dolgopolov in consecutive sets with a 6-3, 7-6 (3) score line in the final.
Rafael Nadal has been seeded as No. 1 followed by his rival six-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic and 2014 Australian Open winner Stan Wawrinka at No. 2 and No. 3 respectively.
