Serena Williams is looking hot favorite to clinch 18th Grand Slam crown at the Australian Open this month, where she has dominated women’s singles at the Brisbane International last week.
World No. 1 Serena Williams has went to bag first WTA title of the year at the Brisbane Crown and collected a $221,000 winner’s cheque for her 58th WTA career title. American star has overcome against her rival two-time major title winner Victoria Azarenka in straight sets with a 6-4, 7-5 score line, where she had take 98 minutes to life the crown at Queensland. She is eyeing to clinch the Australian Open title.
32-year-old Serena Williams’s also leading top place in the WTA rankings and it will be a tough challenge for her rivals Victoria Azarenka and Maria Sharapova in 2014 season. Serena, who had won 10-titles last year including two Grand Slams at French Open and US open, she also finished with strong mode to finish the 2013 season.
