Rafael Nadal, 13-time Grand Slam champion has been preparing for the upcoming ATP season from this month ending, where he was schedule to play his first tournament at the Qatar Open and it will be played on outdoor hard courts at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha.
Rafael Nadal had posted a picture on his Facebook wall that he has been practicing in the morning in Manacor and preparing himself for the upcoming tough season. 27-year-old Spaniard has been working along with his uncle and coach Toni Nadal and close friend Tomeu, as he also focusing on physical training. Nadal will have to play tough tennis against best players on the tour to clinch the season’s opening title at the Qatar Open.
World No. 1 Rafael Nadal is going to lead men’s singles competition at the 2014 Qatar Open, where he is likely to be seeded at No. 1 followed by his fellow country mate World No. 3 David Ferrer at No 2 and Britain top ranked Andy Murray at No. 3 seeds respectively. Nadal might face difficult challenge for the top place in the ATP Rankings, when he will arrive in Melbourne for the Australian Open Championships next month.
Nadal will be eyeing to clinch the Australian Open title for the second time in his career, as he won previous title long back in 2008 beating his best rival former World No. 1 Roger Federer in thrilling five set match with a 7–5, 3–6, 7–6(7–3), 3–6, 6–2.
