Rafael Nadal says fight hard for No. 1

Rafael Nadal, the 13-time Grand Slam champion said he had fought hard to compete season on the ATP World Tour from the beginning of the season and excited to get back to No. 1 in the ATP Rankings.

King of Clay Rafael Nadal has been playing remarkable tennis this year and bagged 10 ATP Tour titles including French Open and US Open crowns. Nadal said he had played 14 tournaments this year and appearing in 13 finals, which makes me something special for the upcoming season. He added he needs to work hard for the No. 1 in the ATP Rankings to finish the season for third time in his career.

Nadal said he needs to play tough tennis to finish the season at No. 1 place in the ATP Rankings and hopes to compete hard against his opponents. He added he is going to celebrate along with his team before heading to play first round match in the Shanghai Masters. Nadal will come back to play his first round match on Tuesday or Wednesday at Qizhong Forest Sports City Arena in Shanghai.

Nadal has got No. 1 place for the first place in the ATP Rankings on 18th August 2008 for 46 weeks. Later, he has regained top spot from 17-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer on 7th June 2010 for a long period of 56 weeks till Novak Djokovic dethrone on 4th July 2011.
