Maria Sharapova, the four-time Grand Slam champion has praised her fellow teammate 17-time Grand Slam winner Serena Williams, where American tennis legend is a greatest tennis champion and best athlete in the world says Russian beauty.

26-year-old Maria Sharapova insists that she has watched 2013 US Open Championship Final between Serena Williams and Victoria Azarenka, which it was good match. Sharapova, who was withdraws from the US Open tournament due to shoulder injury, as she also skips from the upcoming WTA tournaments Pan Pacific Open and China Open.

World No. 3 Maria Sharapova said Serena Williams is considered as one of the greatest tennis champion and she has been leading men’s singles from the beginning of the season. Serena, who has won the six out of four major titles so far and going to finish No. 1 place in the WTA Rankings in 2013 season. Sharapova said she has played several best matches along with Serena Williams and it is an amazing feeling to play against American in Grand Slam finals.

Maria Sharapova has been working hard over her fitness, before heading to year ending WTA Tournament in Istanbul. She is eyeing to clinch the WTA Istanbul to end the season on strong mode.
