Four-time Grand Slam winner Maria Sharapova will take on Canadian Eugenie Bouchard in the 2013 French Open second round on Thursday 30th May at 11:00 GMT, which will be played here on outdoor clay courts in Roland Garros.

World No. 2 Maria Sharapova has overcome against his opening round oppanent Su-wei Hsieh in consecutive sets with a 6-2, 6-1 score line. Russian beauty is aiming to clinch the second major title in Roland Garros, but she is going to face tough challenge against her rivals World No. 1 Serena Williams and Belarus star Victoria Azarenka in title race. Sharapova needs to work hard to lift the 2013 French Open and hopes to show best performance here in Roland Garros.

26-year-old Maria Sharapova has been playing best tennis on clay courts, but she should continue winning streak to lift the French Open. She has withdraws from the Rome Masters quarter finals due to physical problems. Eugenie Bouchard has overcome against Tsvetana Pironkova in French Open first round in two sets with a 6-1, 7-6.

Both the players are meeting for the second time in their tennis career, where Sharapova leads with a 1-0 win loss head-to-head record against Bouchard. The pair last meet at the Miami WTA Open fourth round and Sharapova won the match in straight sets with a 6-2, 6-0 score line. As per the predications, Sharapova is considered as top prospect to win the second round match and enter into the 2013 French Open third round, being played here on outdoor clay courts in Roland Garros.
