Miami Open Finals- First Set:

Both the players look confident and started the game with their powerful serves and aces. After the first 45 minutes of the match, Serena won 2 games and Sharapova won 3 games by breaking Serena’s service and moved to 3-2 position. But Serena came back quickly in this game and won the game by breaking Sharapova’s serve and equals the games with 3-3.

Serena won the next game in her serve and moved to 4-3 lead. Sharapova initially dominated the game and went to 40-0 lead. But then due to the 2 net balls, Sharapova lost 2 posts to Serena Williams and the score then was 30-40. Lot of people from the crowd shouted for Sharapova for not to repeat the mistakes. Sharapova played well at the end and won 2 points and won the match and equals the score 4-4.

The next 2 games were dominated by Sharapova and won the first set 6-4.

Second Set:

First game served by Serena Williams and won the game comfortably. The second game dominated by Sharapova with her service, but at the end lost to Williams. The score went to 2-0. The third game was began with net faults by Serena Williams and lost 30 points to Sharapova with continuous net faults. At one point Serena Williams came back with a strong base line point but immediately lost another point which cost the game from her. The scores now 2-1 in the second set. Sharapova lead in the next game with 40-30 score and won the game with next point and equal the score 2-2. Sharapova dominated the next game with complete focus on the ball and won the game by breaking Serena’s service. Now Sharapova at dominating postion and lead to 3-2.

Maria Sharapova started the next game in her service but lost points to Williams continuously. Serena Williams came back strongly in this game levels the score 3-3. In the next game, Serena Williams fought back and played some great shots and placements and lead to 4-3 in second set. The next game in Sharapova became more interesting where both players fought for each point and finally Serena Williams break Sharapova’s service and went to leading with 5-3.

In the next game Serena served very well and didnt gave any easy points to Sharapova. At the end, Serena Williams utilized the opportunities and won the game and second set as well with the score 6-3.

Third Set:

The set began with Sharapova’s serve and played well at the beginning but lost the first game in third set to Serena Williams. The next game served by Williams and won the game comfortably lead the set with 2-0. The next game also went in favor of Serena Williams and Sharapova didn’t came back in her own service, hence lost the game to Williams. The score now 3-0 in third set. The next game again won by Serena and lead the set with 4-0. Serena Williams won the 5th game as well and the score is now 5-0.

Serena Williams is 1 game away from the Miami Open Title now. The score is now 30-30 in the final game of third set. Sharapova is fighting back strongly. Serena Williams won the next 2 points and won the third set 6-0 and won the Miami Open Title.

Five-time champion Serena Williams won the Miami Open Title 2013 and won the prize money $ 4,330,625.
