Four-time Grand Slam champion Maria Sharapova will meet Frenchwomen Caroline Garcia in the 2013 Qatar Open second round on Tuesday 12th February, schedule to kick off at 15:35 GMT at the International Tennis and Squash complex in Doha.

Maria Sharapova, the former World No. 1 Russian beauty has been playing first WTA tournament in the 2013 Qatar Open Ladies, since losing Australian Open semi finals to Li Na in two sets at Rod Laver Arena. Sharapova has begun preparations for the Qatar Open, where she is one of the top prospects to clinch the title this week.

Caroline Garcia has reached Qatar Open second round, after beating her opening round opponent Fatma Al-nabhani in straight sets with a 6-2, 6-3 scores line.
Both the players are meeting for the second time in their career, where Sharapova leads with a 1-0 win loss head-to-head record against Garcia. The pair last meet at the 2011 French Open second round and Russian beauty has won the match in three sets with a 3-6, 6-4, 6-0 scores line.

As per the predictions, Sharapova is considered as hot favorite to clinch victory in second round and advances into the 2013 Qatar Open Ladies third round, being played here on indoor hard courts at the International Tennis and Squash complex in Doha.
