World No. 7 Juan Martin Del Potro will clash against Benjamin Becker in the 2013 Australian Open second round on Thursday 17th January at 08:05 GMT, being played here on outdoor hard courts at Melbourne Park.
2009 US Open winner Juan Martin Del Potro has been playing best tennis at the moment, where he has reached Australian Open second round. Argentina star has overcome against Adrian Mannarino in opening round in straight sets with a 6-1, 6-2, 6-2 score line. Del Potro has lost Kooyong Australia final to former World No. 1 Lleyton Hewitt in straight sets with a 6-1, 6-4.
Both the players are meeting for the third time in their tennis career, where Del Potro leads with a 2-0 win loss head-to-head record against Becker. The pair last meet at the 2008 Rome Masters quarter finals and Del Potro won the match in straight sets with a 6-1, 6-1 score line.
As per the predictions, Del Potro is considered as the huge favorite to clinch victory in straight sets and secure place in the Australian Open third round, being played here on outdoor hard courts at Rod Laver Arena.
Benjamin Becker has defeated Aljaz Bedene in four sets with a 4-6, 6-3, 7-5, 7-6 in first round of Australian Open and hopes to play tough challenge against sixth seed.
