15-time singles Grand Slam champion will meet Sloane Stephens in quarter finals at the 2013 Brisbane International on Thursday 3rd January at 03:00 GMT, being played here on outdoor hard courts at the Queensland Tennis Centre in Tennyson.

Former World No. 1 Serena Williams has made good start in 2013 season n Brisbane International, where she has reached quarter finals after beating Frenchwomen Alize Cornet in two sets with a 6-2, 6-2 score line. Serena is looking one of the hot favorite to lift the Brisbane International crown this week, before heading into the Australian Open.

Sloane Stephens has outlasted Sofia Arvidsson in straight sets with a 6-3, 6-4 score line in second round and thrashed Dominika Cibulkova in straight sets with a 6-2, 6-3 score line in opening round.

Both the players have not met faced each other so far in WTA Tour and Serena and Stephens are fight for the first time in their tennis career. As per the predictions, Serena is looking huge favorite to clinch victory in straight sets in the quarter final and enter into the 2013 Brisbane International semi finals, being played here on outdoor hard courts in Brisbane.
