World No. 1 Novak Djokovic and King of Clay Rafael Nadal have played best championship finals this year, as both the players have bagged each a Grand Slam at Australian Open and French Open respectively.
Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal have meet in the Australian Open championship final for the first time in this season, which it was the longest championship final in Grand Slam history with five hours and 53 minutes. Serbian has clinched Australian Open crown for the third time and it is the longest ever match in major men’s singles final. Both the players have fight hard to win the championship final at Melbourne Park.
Nadal and Djokovic have meet for four times this season and Spanish star leads with a 3-1 win loss head-to-head record in 2012 season. The pair again meet in the Monte Carlo Masters and Nadal has thrashed Djokovic in consecutive sets with a 6-3, 6-1 in final to lift the title. Both the players again meet in the 2012 Campionati Internazionali d’Italia final and King of Clay won the match in two sets with a 7-5, 6-3 score line.
The big battle comes in French Open championship final, where Nadal has showed great performance to beat his rival Djokovic in four sets with a 6-4, 6-3, 2-6, 7-5 score line at Roland Garros final.
