World No. 2 Roger Federer feels 2009 US Open champion Juan Martin Del Potro will be a big threat for top players at the Australian Open, where he has been playing best tennis of his career at the moment.
17-time Grand Slam champion Federer said World No. 7 Juan Martin del Potro is one of the top prospects to lift the Australian Open crown and he can play good tennis against top seeds on the tour. He added Del Potro has played amazing tennis at end of the season and hopes he is having ability to continue similar form in 2013 season, which will begin at Brisbane International.
Federer feels Del Potro can fight for No. 1 spot in the ATP Rankings, but needs to work hard against World No. 1 Novak Djokovic, King of Clay Rafael Nadal and Britain star Andy Murray to archive dream place on the ATP World Tour. Argentinean star can climb to top five in 2013 season, if he plays similar tennis next season.
