11-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal will begin his ATP World Tour 2013 season at the Doha Open, schedule to kick off at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha, Qatar, from December 30, 2012 through January 6, 2013.
Former World No. 1 Nadal is going to return back to court for the first time to the ATP World Tour in January, where he has committed to play in the 2013 Qatar ExxonMobil Open. Spaniard, who has not played any match on the ATP World Tour form last five months, since losing 2012 Wimbledon Championships second round in June.
26-year-old Nadal has been playing Qatar Open tournament for the sixth time in his career, where he has won the title in 2010 and lost semi final to Gael Monfils of France in 2012. Nadal feels he can prepare well for season’s opening Grand Slam Australian Open and should work hard to show best performance in the event at Melbourne Park in January.
King of Clay Nadal has been training daily on the court along with his uncle Toni Nadal and he has been spending more time to readapt for the court.
