Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova have singed to play in the Brisbane International 2013 tournament, before heading into the season’s opening grand slam at the Australian Open in Melbourne Park.
15-time singles Grand Slam champion Serena Williams insists that it is a great tournament to get well prepares for the upcoming Australian Open, which makes all players to get ready for the big event at Melbourne Park. She added she is looking forward to play well in the Brisbane International and hopes to win the consecutive third Grand Slam at Australian Open, as she won Wimbledon and US Open this year.
Serena, who has bagged seven WTA Tour titles and lost six matches this season including US Open and Wimbledon, she has been passing through best from right now. American tennis champion is considered as the hot favorite to win the Brisbane International crown and Australian Open.
Former World No. 1 Maria Sharapova also committed to play in the Brisbane International and she hopes to play tough battle against her rival Serena Williams for title race.
