World No. 2 Rafael Nadal will make his debut at the 2012 Garry Weber Open tournament, which will begin from Monday 11th June at the Gerry Weber Stadium in Halle.
King of Clay Nadal has been seeded top, followed by the 16-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer and World No. 7 Tomas Berdych of Czech Republic at the Halle Open. Spanish star has withdrawn from the Wimbledon warm-up event Queen’s Club ATP Tournament, due to British Tax legislation.
25-year-old Nadal will arrive soon here in Halle, where he is considered to be one of the huge favorite to win the first grass court crown, ahead of the Wimbledon and Summer Olympics in London. 2012 Gerry Weber Open will kick-off from 11 to 17 June at the Gerry Weber Stadion in Halle, being played here on outdoor grass courts.
25-year-old Nadal has committed to play Garry Weber Open for next three years, where he is very excited to play the tournament in Germany. Spanish star said it’s very important to win Halle Open, ahead of the 2012 Wimbledon, schedule to begin from 28 June to 6 July at the All England Club.
