2011 French Open champion Li Na will battle against Yaroslava Shvedova in the 2012 French Open fourth round at 12:00 GMT on Monday 4th June, being played here on outdoor clay courts at Roland Garros in Paris.
Both the tennis players are meeting for the second time in their career, where the Chinese top seed leads with a 1-0 win loss head-to-head record against Shvedova. The pair last meet at 2007 Birmingham second round, as Li Na clinched victory in three sets with a 4-6, 6-2, 6-0. As per the predictions, seventh seed is looking huge favorite to win the French Open fourth round and enter into the French Open top 8 at Roland Garros.
World No. 7 Li Na has been playing best tennis on clay courts this year and aiming to win French Open crown for second time in her career. Chinese top seed Li Na has overcome against American Christina McHale in three sets with a 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 and hopes to continue similar form throughout French Open. In 2011 French Open, Li Na has become the first tennis player from an Asian country to enter into a Grand Slam championship final.
24-year-old Yaroslava Shvedova will have to face tough challenge against defending champion on Monday, where she has overcome against Carla Suareznavarro of Spain in two sets with a 6-4, 7-5 in the French Open third round. She needs to play high-level tennis to reach into French Open quarter finals.
