Former World No. 6 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga will clash against American second top seed John Isner in the 2012 Davis Cup quarter finals on Saturday at the Monte Carlo Country Club in Roquebrune, France.
26-year-old Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has been playing consistently well in this season and hopes to continue similar performance in the 2012 Davis Cup quarter finals against United States at the Monte Carlo Country Club in Roquebrune.
On Day 1, Tsonga has overcome against Ryan Harrison, where he is looking forward to face tough challenge against Isner on Saturday. American doubles champions Mike Bryan and Bob Bryan will clash against Julien Benneteau and Michael Llodra in doubles match. Isner has been playing great tennis right now, where he has reached BNP Paribas Open finals, before losing to former World No. 1 Roger Federer in straight sets.
Both the players are meeting for the third time in their career, while Tsonga and Isner leads with a 1-1 win loss head-to-head record. The pair last meet at 2011 Paris Masters semi finals, as Tsonga clinched victory in three sets with a 3-6 7-6(1) 7-6(3). As per the predications’, Tsonga is having most of the chances to win the 2012 Davis Cup quarter finals and lead his nation 1-0 against Untied States.
