Former World No. 1 Venus Williams will take on Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland in the quarter finals of the 2012 Sony Ericsson Open at 23:05 GMT on Wednesday at Tennis Center at Crandon Park in Miami.

Seven-time Grand Slam champion Venus Williams has reached Sony Ericsson Open quarter finals, after beating her fourth round opponent former World No. 1 Ana Ivanovic in three sets with a 6-7, 6-2, 6-2 score line. American star is looking hot favorite to win the fourth Sony Ericsson Open crown here in Miami, where she won the previous titles in 1998, 1999 and 2001. She also reached 2010 Miami Masters championship final, before losing to Kim Clijsters in two sets with a 6-2, 6-1.

23-year-old Agnieszka Radwanska has showed best performance from the beginning of the 2012 season, where she is considered to be one of the hot prospects to win the Sony Ericsson Open crown this month. Fourth seed Radwanska has overwhelmed Garbine Blanco in consecutive sets with a 6-3, 6-2 in fourth round and will have to face tricky opponent in the quarter finals. Both the players meeting for the seventh time in their career, while Venus leads with a 5-1 win loss head-to-head record against Radwanska.

The pair last meet at 2010 Miami Masters quarter finals, as American star has clinched victory in two sets with a 6-3, 6-1. As per the predications’, Poland star Agnieszka Radwanska is having little edge to win the quarter final and enter into 2012 Sony Ericsson Open semi final, being played on outdoor hard courts at Tennis Center at Crandon Park in Miami.
