Ana Ivanovic, the former world No.1 has stated that, she is bidding to reach the top-10 of the WTA Rankings this season.
Serbian world No.18, Ana Ivanovic has had a disappointing year so far being defeated in the early rounds of the tournaments. Ivanovic has been defeated in 2-round at Brisbane, 1-round at Sydney and made some good effort at the Australian Open to reach the fourth round.
However, the former world No.1, Ivanovic while speaking with the sources has said that, her biggest aim this season is to reach the top 10 in the WTA Rankings and fight during the later rounds of Grand Slams tournament and believes that, she will working hard to achieve the goal.
Serbian while speaking about the busy tennis calendar for Men’s and Women’s has said that, it is important to separate WTA tournaments from ATP tournaments regarding the busy tennis scheduled and added that, WTA has done a good work by decreasing the tennis calendar with which the WTA players will not effected with much injuries and she added that, the women’s tournament will end one month prior to Men’s and will get some long breaks.
Ivanovic while speaking about the tennis improvement in Serbia has said that, her main focus is on UNICEF being an ambassador for Serbia and stated that, there are few issues with the Serbian Schools and they are much priority to deal with and added that, she will take part in a UNICEF event at Belgrade.
