Rafael Nadal, the 10-time Grand Slam champion will play next ATP tournament at Indian Wells, which will take place at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden in Indian Wells from 5th March on hard courts.
The former World No. 1 Rafael Nadal, who has lost Australian Open championship final to World No. 1 Novak Djokovic in tough five sets on Sunday at Rod Laver Arena, he is looking forward to return back positively in the next ATP tournament in March. Nadal is going to play next event at 2012 Indian Wells, an ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event on the 2012 ATP World, schedule to start from March 5 to 18 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden in California on hard courts.
The World No. 2 Rafael Nadal insist he is going to take break from the court in February to recover soon from left shoulder injury and body pains. Rafa is also suffering from knee injury from past month, where he also struggle in the Australian Open tournament last month. Nadal will skip from the Spain’s Davis Cup tie against Kazakhstan, schedule to begin from 10th February at Oviedo. Alex Corretja will lead the Spain in 2012 Davis Cup tie, where World No. 11 Nicolas Almagro, Marcel Granollers, former No. 1 Juan Carlos Ferrero and Marc Lopez join the team.
The 25-year-old Nadal holds 2nd place, while five-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic retains No. 1 position in the ATP Rankings, after showing best performance to begin the 2012 season.
