Former world No.8, Marcos Baghdatis will face the Poland player, Luckas Kubot to set his place in the 2012 PBZ Zagreb Open.
Cyprus World No.45, Marcos Baghdatis will be clashing in his second round encounter against Poland No.61, Luckas Kubot in the second round of the 2012 Zagreb Indoor Open on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 18:15 GMT, in the ATP250-touranment being held in Croatia.
The head to head between both the players have clashed in two-matches in the past, as both of them have leveled the series with 1-1. However, the previous encounter was in the 2011 Brisbane Open, as the Baghdatis has knocked out Kubot in straight sets with a score line of 6-2 6-2.
2009 PBZ Zagreb Open champion, Baghdatis has done well the season starting tournament at Brisbane and Apia International Open, as he reached the quarterfinals and semifinals of the ATP world Tour tournament. However, the Cypriot once again tries to reach the quarterfinals of the tournament, as he takes on the Poland Player.
Baghdatis in his opening round has thrashed out the Luckas Rosol in three set encounter with a score line of 4-6 6-3 6-3.
Poland player, Luckas Kubot has got a poor win-loss record of 2-3 in 2012. Kubot earlier in his opening round has beaten Matteo Viola in straight sets with a score line of 6-2 6-1 to set a clash with former No.8, Baghdatis.
Predictions: Baghdatis straight sets victory.
