The 13-time singles Grand Slam champion Serena Williams insist her elder sister Venus Williams has been working hard to return back to action at Fed Cup matches against Belarus.
The 31-year-old Venus Williams is going to appear on the court for the first time, after her withdrawn from the 2011 US Open championship, due to an autoimmune disease. She has been working hard on her fitness and hopes to return back to action positively, where she will play Fed Cup matches for her nation against Belarus on next month said Serena. She added she had played along with Venus several times in doubles and will give 100 percent performance.
The former World No. 1 Serena was schedule to arrive in Worcester, where she had not played Fed Cup, since playing last matches in 2007. American star Serena, who has lost fourth round of the 2012 Australian Open championship last month, she is very excited to play against World No. 1 Victoria Azarenka, who won the Australian Open championship beating Maria Sharapova in the final at Rod Laver Arena.
United States Fed Cup team includes Christina McHale and Liezel Huber, who holds World No. 1 spot in doubles in the WTA Rankings. Belarus will lead by Victoria Azarenka, Anastasia Yakimova, Olga Govortsova and Darya Kustova.
