Japan raising star, Kei Nishikori, who has stunned some of the top seeded players like world No.1, Novak Djokovic in 2011 and Jo Wilfred Tsonga in 2012 sets some new targets ahead in 2012.
In 2012 Australian Open last week, Nishikori has thrashed out world No.6, Jo Wilfred Tsonga to advance for the first time in a grand slam quarterfinals has been moved in rankings this week at No.20.
Nishikori while speaking with the sources has said that, “he never thought of moving to top-20 so quickly. However, he wishes to cruise into top-10 of the world rankings and when sources have asked about his goals said that, he wants to clinch a grand slam title in two-three years from now.
Nishikori also said he was impressed by the Australian Open final between Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal that lasted nearly six hours, the final was beyond my imagination and added that, the top four players are in a different class and said that, he has so much time to improve in order to beat them.
Kei Nishikori will be leading the Davis cup team for Japan’s in the World Group first-round meeting with Croatia, which is scheduled to be held from Feb 10-12, 2-12.
While speaking about Davis Cup encounter against Croatia has said that, he will try to win both the singles’ rubbers.
