The seeded player in tennis Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray have been decided to pull-out of the Davis Cup ties for their respective countries, as the Swiss world No.3, Roger Federer will be participating in the Swiss Davis Cup tie against US.
Serbian world No.1, Novak Djokovic having won his third title at the 2012 Australian Open beating Rafael Nadal in epic finals at Rod Laver Arena last Sunday has said that, he would not be participating in the Serbian Davis Cup tie against Sweden, as he has to recover himself first to prepare for the remaining season.
World No.2, Rafael Nadal, who has been the runner-up at the Australian Open has already stated that, he would not playing any of the Davis Cup competition this season, due to a busy tennis schedule and is planning to defend his Olympic gold. Five times Davis Cup champions, Spain will be taking on Kazakhstan in their Davis Cup tie February 10-12, 2012.
World No.4, Andy Murray will miss Great Britain’s Davis Cup tie in Glasgow against Slovakia next weekend in order to recover from a few minor injuries picked up in Australia.
Meanwhile, the world No.3, Roger Federer will be playing for Switzerland’s Davis Cup World Group first round clash with USA, which will be held from 10-12 February, 2012 at Fribourg.
