The 2012 Australian Open champion Novak Djokovic and World No. 1 Victoria Azarenka will play at the 2012 Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships in February.
The World No.1 Novak Djokovic is going to play next tournament at the 2012 Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, an ATP 500 Series event on the 2012 ATP World Tour and a Premier event on the 2012 WTA Tour. ATP and WTA championships will takes place at the Aviation Club Tennis Centre at Dubai in United Arab Emirates. Djokovic said it is one of the greatest Grand Slams final of his career and very privileged to be playing in front of great tennis legend Rod Laver and in front 15,000 people.
The 22-year-old Victoria Azarenka has clinched 2012 Australian Open championship for the first time in her career and also climbed to No. 1 position in the WTA Rankings. She said she was very excited to win the first major and looking forward to play next WTA tournament at Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championship. The other top players will join Victoria Azarenka in Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championship with 2011 French Open champion Li Na, World No. 2 Petra Kvitova and 2011 US Open winner Samantha Stosur of Australia.
The former World No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki will defend the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships next month, where she hopes to win the first WTA title in 2012 season.
