After the completion of the 2012 Australian Open, there are lots of changes in the WTA rankings, as the Belarus, Victoria Azarenka, who has won her first grand slam title in her career will be leading the ranking table for the first time in her career.
Top-3 players in the WTA rankings this week are world No.1, Victoria Azarenka, world No.2, Petra Kvitova and world No.3, Maria Sharapova.
Dane former world No1, Caroline Wozniacki has been dropped to No.4, after being defeated in the quarterfinals of the 2012 Australian Open against Kim Clijsters in the latest WTA rankings, which were released on Monday, January 30, 2012. Wozniacki has ended as No.1 for two-consecutives season.
Belarus, Victoria Azarenka, who has defeated the former world No.1, Maria Sharapova in a straight sets with a score line of 6-3 6-0 has clinched her first grand slam title in 2012 Australian Open and has conquered world No.1.
