The 16-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer has committed to participate in the South American tour in December, 2012, where his official agent Godsick has announced on Sunday.
The World No. 3 Roger Federer, who has smashed out of the 2012 Australian Open championship last week in semi finals against his best rival Rafael Nadal in four sets with a 7-6, 2-6, 6-7, 4-6 score line. Federer has announced to play in the South American tour by end of the season, as he official agent Godsick explains the organization DPA as Brazil and Argentina are two stages secure, while Chile, Mexico and Colombia are still under talks.
The 30-year-old Federer will play next ATP tournament at ABN AMRO World Tennis event, an ATP World Tour 500 series of the 2012 ATP World Tour. The Rotterdam tournament will kick off from February 7th at the Ahoy Rotterdam indoor sporting arena in Rotterdam. Later, Federer will travel to the Dubai Duty Free Tennis tournament in Dubai and BNP Paribas Showdown in New York, where he is looking forward to show best performance in the events.
The former World No. 1 Federer, who has not won a single Grand Slam championship from couple of years, since winning his last major at 2010 Australian Open beating Britain top seed Andy Murray in three sets in the final.
