16-times major champion, Roger Federer is struggling in grand slam tournament for the first time in his career, as the Swiss is running his second successful year without winning a major title.
World No.3, Roger Federer, who has been defeated against the world No.2, Rafael Nadal in the semifinals of the 2012 Australian Open on Thursday, January 27, 2012 with a score line of 6(5)-7 6-2 7-6(5) 6-4 has ended-up his show without reaching the finals in season opening grand slam tournament.
Federer since 2003 has won a major title every season and strolled to be the first player in history of tennis to clinch 16-major champion’s titles until 2010 Australian Open. However, 2011 has been a ruined the Federer, as he didn’t even won a single grand slam title.
Swiss maestro is extremely considered as the best player in the tennis history by fans and critics. Federer failed to lift a major so far, since winning the 2010 Australian Open.
In 2011, he was beaten by the Novak Djokovic in the Australian Open and defeated by the Rafael Nadal in the French Open final in this season and feel in the quarter final against Jo Wilfred Tsonga at Wimbledon and US Open in semifinals against Novak Djokovic. However, he returned on top at the very end of the season by clinching his 6th ATP World Tour championship title.
2012 has been started, once again Federer started to topple against his rivals, as we have already seen it in on Thursday against Rafael Nadal in 2012 Australian Open.
So, we just stay need to stay cam like the 16-times grand slam champion, Roger Federer and watch his this season in the remaining three grand slam tournaments in French Open, Wimbledon and US Open.
