Last year title match players at Australian Open, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray will once again square off at the Rod Laver Arena on Friday, as they battle this time in the semifinals encounter in the season opening grand slam event at Rod Laver arena in 2012 Australia Open.
Head to head contest is leading with the Serbian with 6-4 against the Britain top seed, Murray and the last time meeting was at 2011 Masters 1000 Cincinnati, where the Scot won the championship title via retirement.
World No.1, Djokovic, who has thrashed out world No.5, David Ferrer in quarterfinals with 6-4, 7-6(4), 6-1 has said about finals match against Murray that, Murray is looking fit and added that, He has been playing well and is definitely motivated to win his first Grand Slam. He’s been proving to himself and to the rest of the people that the Australian Open is probably his best Grand Slam.
However, the Serbian has built confidence in him stating that, he has been playing well, since last two-years and is anticipating a great semifinals match against Andy Murray.
World No.4, Andy Murray in his quarterfinals has overcome the raising Japanese player, Kei Nishikori in straight sets with a score line of 6-3, 6-3, 6-1 to set-up an encounter with world No.1, Novak Djokovic. Britain top seed is aiming to clinch his first grand slam title in his career.
As per predictions, it will be Djokovic day’s to advance into the finals of the 2012 Australian Open.
