Apart form Top seed and world No.1, Caroline Wozniacki the other three seeds, World No.2, Petra Kvitova, No.3, Victoria Azarenka and World No.4, Maria Sharapova along with defending champion, Kim Clijsters will be battling for the final place in the 2012 Australian Open.

It would be magnificent display by the top seeds, as they will be clashing for both finals, as well as the world No.1 rank in the WTA.

Defending champion and world No.11, Kim Clijsters will be clashing with Belarus world No.3, Victoria Azarenka in the final four of the 2011 Australian Open. The Belarus is bidding to clinch her first grand slam title in her career at the season opening grand slam event.

Meanwhile, 2011 Wimbledon finalist, world No.2, Petra Kvitova and world No.4, Maria Sharapova will be facing in the semifinals battle this time, as tries to book their spot in the finals.

It would be dramatic semifinals schedule with all the matches on day-11 of the Women’s semifinals will be held at Rod Laver Arena on Thursday, January 26, 2012, which are being held at Melbourne Park.
