American former world No.1 tennis sisters, Serena Williams and Venus Williams have be the leading the United States Federation cup for the first time since 2007.
William’s sisters were out of Fed cup, since 2007, due to lot of injuries. However, it has been confirmed by the Mary Joe Fernandez, the United Stated Fed Cup Captain, that the grand slams champion sister will be leading the American team when they take on Belarus in a World Group-II first-round match.
US Fed cup captain while speaking with the sources has said that, she is looking forward having Serena and Venus in the team for the first time since I became U.S. Fed Cup captain and she also admitted that, the Williams sisters will bring so much to US team, not only for what they can do on court, but the influence they will have on Christina and the rest of the team.
It will be Venus Williams’ first appearance in an authorized competition since the U.S. Open, when she revealed that, she had Sjogren’s Syndrome, an autoimmune disease that can cause fatigue and joint pain and Serena Williams, who lost her fourth round encounter against Russian in 2012 Australian Open, has not played Fed Cup since 2007.
United States Fed Cup team will be taking on Belarus, which is scheduled to be held from February 4-5, 2011 in the World Group II match at Worcester, Mass.
