"Wednesday’s quarterfinals Schedule at 2012 Australian Open" The top seeded Men’s and Women’s will be battling against each other to book their places in final four of the season opening grand slam tournament on Wednesday, January 24 2012.

World No.1 and Defending champion, Novak Djokovic is scheduled to play his quarterfinals match against the world No.5, David Ferrer and world No.4, Andy Murray will be squaring off with raising Japanese world No.28, Kei Nishikori to secure their places in the semifinals of the 2012 Australia Open.

The most stunning encounter of the day would between Djokovic Vs Ferrer.

Meanwhile, In the Women’s field, world No.2 and Wimbledon champion, Petra Kvitova will be playing her quarterfinals against the unseeded Italian, Sara Errani and world No.4, Maria Sharapova will be taking on her fellow country women and unseeded Russian, Ekaterina Makarova.

It will be an easy quarterfinals kickoff for Petra Kvitova. However, Sharapova has to show all her domination against, Ekaterina Makarova, who has knocked out her top seeded country women, Vera Zvonareva and five times Australian Open champion, Serena Williams.
