The World No. 3 Victoria Azarenka will clash against Poland tennis champion Agnieszka Radwanska in the Quarter finals at the Australian Open 2012 championship at 00:00 GMT Tuesday 24th January at Melbourne Park.
Victoria Azarenka has overcome against Iveta Benesova of Czech Republic in the Australian Open fourth round in two sets with a 6-2, 6-2. The Belarus star is looking one of the hot favorite to lift the championship for the first time in her career. Azarenka is looking forward to win the second WTA Tour titles of the season at Melbourne Park, where she won the first title at Apia International at in Adelaide, after defeating Li Na in three sets with a 6-2, 1-6 and 6-3.
The 22-year-old Agnieszka Radwanska has reached the Australian Open quarter finals on Sunday, after thrashing Julia Goerges in consecutive sets with a 6-1, 6-1 in pre-quarter finals. Radwanska has been playing high level tennis at the moment and aiming to win the maiden Grand Slam championship in Australian.
The pair is meeting for the tenth time in career, as Victoria Azarenka leads with 6-3 win loss head-to-head record series against Agnieszka Radwanska. Both the players’ last met at 2012 Sydney WTA Premier event, where the Belarus star won the math in three sets with a 1-6, 6-3, 6-2.
