The World No. 11 Juan Martin Del Potro will clash against Yen-Hsun Lu of Taiwan in the third round at 2012 Australian Open championship at 00:00 GMT on Friday 19^th January, which will held on outdoor hard courts at Melbourne Park.

The 2009 US Open champion Juan Martin Del Potro has conquered Slovakian Blaz Kavcic in three sets with a 6-4, 7-5, 6-3, while overcome against Adrian Mannarino of France in four sets with a 2-6, 6-1, 7-5, 6-4 in the first round. Del Potro is aiming to clinch the second Grand Slam championship of his career at Australian Open, where he is having ability to give tough challenge to top seeds in further rounds.

Taiwan qualifier Yen-Hsun Lu has been improving his performance on ATP Tour in Australian Open, where he plays against 11^th seed Del Potro in the third round on Friday morning. Yen-Hsun Lu has defeated Florent Serra of France in three sets with a 7-5, 6-2, 6-2 in the second round on Thursday.

Both the players are fighting for the second time in career, where Juan Martin Del Potro leads with a 1-0 win loss head-to-head record against Taiwan qualifier. The pair last meet at 2009 Washington ATP tournament, as Argentinean top seed clinched victory in three sets with a 4-6, 6-3, 6-2.
