World No.4, Andy Murray and World No.5, David Ferrer have cruised into the third round of the 2012 Australian Open on Thursday, January 19, 2012, which is being held in Melbourne, Australia.
Andy Murray has thrashed out Frenchman, Edouard Roger-vasselin in straight sets with a score line of 6-1, 6-4, 6-4 to advance into the third round of the 2012 Australian Open.
Murray has made a superb start to the match by winning the first set without any problems with 6-1. He broke on two occassions as he smacked 7 winners. He was also helped by the 11 unforced errors by Roger-vasselin. Murray won 25 points in this set as compared to 11 by Roger-vasselin and finished the first set in 23 minutes.
In the second and third set, Murray opponent Roger-vasselin has started to bounce back into the game giving him a huge challenge. However, the top seeded Britain has ended the match with 6-1, 6-4, 6-4.
World No.5, David Ferrer has struggled hard beating the American, Ryan Harrison with a hard fought battle of five sets. However, Ferrer clinched a victory to advance into the third round of the season opening grand slam tournament with a score line of 6-7(4), 6-2, 3-6, 6-2, 6-3.
