Former world No.1, Serena William’s new Nike outfits for the 2012 Australian Open is celebrating Black History Month fro the honor of the 36th anniversary of BHM.
Five times Australian Open champion, Serena has showed off custom-made Black History Month headband and sneakers during her first-round victory against Austria player, Tamira Paszek in the 2012 Australian Open.
13-time grand slam champion, Serena is not only the athlete getting the some new collections from Nike to celebrate the Nike’s Black History Month. But, all the NIKE athletes will be featuring in the Black History month, during February. However, this event will has been started with Serena, as she is playing the season opening grand slam in 2012 Australia Open, which is being held in Melbourne, Australia
NIKE Black History Month 2012 Collection for Serena includes, the Nike Sportswear BHM Destroyer Jacket, the Nike BHM Seasonal Knit jacket, the Nike BHM C72 Bag, and the Nike BHM Air Max Mirabella 3, all bearing the BHM mark to signify this special collection.
Serena, during her first round match has worn a custom-made Black History Month headband and sneakers. However, the 13-times champion will not be wearing the bomber jacket, as it summer in Melbourne.
