"Thomas Berdych vs Mardy Fish" Two Top-10 players in ATP-tennis, Thomas Berdych and Mardy Fish will be battling against each other for their respective countries in the 2012 Hopman Cup.

Czech World No.7, Thomas Berdych will be clashing with American world No.8, Mardy Fish in first men’s singles match between USA Vs Czech Republic on Wednesday, January, 4, 2011 at 11:00 GMT in an 2012 Hopman Cup, which is being held in Perth, Australia.

The head to head between both the players have clashed in two-matches in the past, as the top seeded American, Fish is leading the contest with 2-0 against the Czech, Berdych. However, the previous encounter between both of them was in the 2011 Wimbledon Open, as Berdych has knocked out Fish in three sets thriller with a score line of 7-6(5) 6-4 6-4.
Mardy Fish has been in top form though out the 2011, which has resulted the American to end the season at No.8 in the ATP World Rankings. Fish in his earlier match for US has beaten Denmark, Frederik Nielsen in three set encounter with 4-6 7-6(5) 6-4 to set-up a clash with Thomas Berdych.
Czech, Thomas Berdych having ended the season in top-10 for second successive year will be eyeing to start of the new season with victory. Berdych in his earlier match has defeated the Bulgaria player, Grigor Dimitrov in the three set encounter with a score line of 6-4 6-7(9) 6-3 to set-up a clash with the American.

Both the top seeded player in tennis will be hoping for victories for their respective country at this year’s Hopman Cup. However, as per the prediction, it will be a three set encounter, as Fish is favourite player to earn a victory.
