World No.2, Rafael Nadal has defeated 16-times grand slam champion, Roger Federer with a score line of 7–5, 7–6, 5–7, 6–1 to clinch the six Rolando Garros title to equal previous record, which was held by former Swede No.1, Bjorn Borg.
Rafael Nadal on his achievement in 2012 wants to clinch the seventh grand slam title on Clay court, which would be a great deal and said that, “I’d take six Roland Garros because I am tied with Borg, it was the most he had, and over it is a motivation and would be a nice achievement”.
Meanwhile, Rafael Nadal will be opening his 2012 season at Doha Open on Tuesday, when he takes on the Germany player, Philipp Kohlschreiber in the first round of the tournament at Doha.
Nadal on Monday has said that, I will play like this until my mind and my physical performance say and added that, If you are working very hard physically, but your mental game is not there, you don’t feel competitive, you won’t feel hungry to keep winning or to keep fighting every ball. If you’re not ready to compete and to combine both things, [it] will be very difficult to be competitive in all the tournaments.
Nadal is struggling from Shoulder injury, which could be a defect for the king of clay to shown his domination on opponents in Doha.
