The World No. 1 Novak Djokovic will take on his rival Roger Federer in the Mubadala World Tennis Championship semi finals on Friday at Abu Dhabi International Tennis Complex.
The former World No. 1 Roger Federer has return back into outstanding form and bagged three consecutive ATP Tour titles last month at Basel, Paris and London. Swiss maestro had played worst 2011 season, where he has not won a major championship, since winning Australian Open at Melbourne Park in 2010. Federer leads with a 14-10 win loss head-to-head record overall, while Swiss star is the first player to defeat Serbian in 2011 season in French Open semi finals and stopped 43-match winning streak.
The four-time Grand Slam champion has smashed former World No. 7th ranked Geol Monfils in the opening round in three sets with a 6-2, 4-6 and 6-2 on Thursday at the Abu Dhabi International Tennis Complex at the Zayed Sports City in Abu Dhabi. Serbian, who had best record against Roger Federer with a 4-1 win loss head-to-head series in 2011 season, he hopes to continue the similar form.
The 16-time Grand slam champion Roger Federer is having the little edge to clinch victory against Novak Djokovic at Abu Dhabi semi finals, where he needs to work hard to beat top seed. It will be one of the toughest matches to watch out at end of the season at Abu Dhabi International Tennis Complex.
