The 13-time singles Grand Slam champion Serena Williams is one of the toughest players to defeat and she can return back strongly into the game at any time says World No. 10th Andrea Petkovic.
The former World No. 1 Serena Williams, who will make her, return back to action next month at the Brisbane International championship, as she has been seeded No. 4 behind Samantha Stosur, Andrea Petkovic and Italian Francesca Schiavone. Andrea Petkovic said she will face tough challenge against Serena for the Brisbane championship and she is one of the toughest players on hard courts to conquer. American top seed has played her last WTA tournament at US Open final in Flushing Meadows Park in September.
The 24-year-old Petkovic said Serena can bounce into the game at any moment and praised American star, who has won 13 singles Grand Slam championships so far in her career. She added she is very big fan of Serena and was her first icon, when she was growing, after former World No. 1 Steffi Graf. Petkovic feels Serena is one of the hot favorite to clinch the title at Brisbane, before heading into the Australian Open.
German star said Kim Clijsters is the greatest female athletes in the world, who can stun top seeds on hard courts. Petkovic has played great tennis this year, after reaching 12 quarter-finals from 18 events and also improved her ranking.
