Swiss Davis Cup Captain, Severin Luthi has confirmed that the talk between Roger Federer and Martina Hingis have come to an end, as the both the players have concluded not to play mixed doubles at the Olympics, according to reports.
Swiss tennis player, Roger Federer and Martina Hingis, who have been in news from the past six months regarding the Mixed doubles duo ahead of the 2012 London Olympics. Earlier in August, it has been reported that, Federer has asked Hingis playing mixed doubles together for Switzerland at next year’s Olympics and has said that, if he played with anyone he wanted it to be Hingis because she’s an “amazing player.” He has practiced with her and played with her at the Hopman Cup.
However, it has been reported by the Switzerland Davis Cup Captain that, the duo talks have been concluded of not playing mixed doubles together for Switzerland at next year’s Olympics in London.
Meanwhile, Gian Gilli, the President of the Swiss Olympic Committee has said that, he do-not want to comment further on the issue Federer & Hingis duo.
Roger Federer aiming for an single’s gold medal in London is still have to confirm whether, he is going to play mixed doubles in Olympics or else just satisfy playing Singles and Doubles.
