Former Australian No.1, Lleyton Hewitt, who has been out of tennis, due to foot injury will be making a comeback this New Year. However, the Australian will be having tough time this time, as he is unsure about how long his comeback might be ended.
Ken Rosewall has said that, if Hewitt will be facing one injury this in 2012, he is going wrap-up his illustrious career.
Rosewall believes one more injury to Hewitt shall draw curtains to the career of 30-year-old Australian. The Australian has reported to have said that he desires to carry on playing the sport he has always followed so passionately but Rosewall thinks he hasn’t got enough steam left in him to keep him moving in the future. Hewitt will turn 31 in February and Rosewall is of the view that the father of three won’t be able to carry another major injury at hits stage of his career and might have to put his tennis voyage to an end.
If he does get too many other serious niggling injuries, I’d imagine he’d have to give it a miss,” Rosewall said. “He has been unlucky that he has come up with these injuries, but maybe that’s because of certain elements. I think he’s the kind of player who would like to continue playing but if he has any number of bad losses, in his own mind, he’s going to figure it out that it’s not doing him much good.
Former Grand Slam champion, Hewitt will be being his 2012 at the Sydney International and has been given a wildcard entry in front of his home crowd in the season opening grand slam in 2012 Australian Open.
