The former World No. 1 Jim Courier said John Isner is having the ability to make his position into top 10 in the ATP Rankings next season, after his amazing 2011 performance.
The American tennis legend Jim Courier said John Isner has been playing remarkable tennis at the moment, where he has reached his career high 18th position in the ATP Rankings, ahead of top American seeds Mardy Fish at No. 8 and Andy Roddick at 14th place. Isner has played his ATP Tour event at BNP Paris Masters event, where he has entered into the semi finals, before falling to Frenchman Jo-wilfried Tsonga in three sets.
The 26-year-old Isner also showed great performance at US Open championship, where he has reached the quarter finals of the event and clinched Winston Salem, Campbell’s Hall of Fame Tennis Championships and Hopman Cup in this season. Isner also played great tennis in doubles matches along with his country mate Sam Querrey in 2011. Jim Courier said Isner has played better tennis than American top seed Mardy Fish and former World No. 1 Andy Roddick this season, winning three ATP Tour titles.
The 28-year-old Andy Roddick is the only last men’s player to win a Grand Slam at US Open in 2003, beating Juan Carlos Ferrero of Spain in the final in three sets with a 6–3, 7–6(7–2) and 6–3. Mardy Fish is the having the chances to win a major title for United States and he is the only player to holds the place in top ten rankings.
