American former world No.1, Serena Williams will be joining with the top seeded American, Mardy Fish to play in the sixth annual Mardy’s Tennis & Jake’s Music Fest on Friday, December, 9, 2011.
The top seeded American, Serena Williams and Mardy Fish will be joining to gather to play the mixed double’s encounter against the opponents, which has yet to be confirmed.
World No.14, Serena Williams will be pairing-up with Fish for the third time in her career in an exhibition match, which will be held at Grand Harbor Golf and Beach Club on Friday night in Vero Beach, Florida.
Mardy Fish while speaking about the 13-times grand slam champion, Serena has said that, she is a fierce competitor and one of the all-time greats of our sport and I’m so excited that our hometown crowd will get to see her in action and I’m just glad I won’t be playing against her.
Every year this exhibition match favors the charity organization of Mardy Fish Foundation and Jake Owen Foundation, with the world No.8, Mardy Fish will a play a leading role to get funds for his charity organization.
On Friday night, the exhibition featuring Mardy Fish and other tennis pros in a singles, doubles and mixed doubles match, and a concert with Grammy nominated RCA recording artist Jake Owen and some of country’s hottest performers.
Mardy Fish will be playing a singles match against Sam Querrey at 7:30 p.m., followed by a doubles match between Fish-Querrey and the world No.1 doubles players, Mike and Bob Bryan and later Serena and Fish will pair-up with the other opponents, which have yet to be confirmed.
