The master of tennis Roger Federer has return back to outstanding form, after taking rest at home for some time, which helped him to show on positive mode at the end of the season.
The former World No. 1 Federer, who has clinched sixth World Tour championship and surpassed former World No. 1 Ivan Lendl and American tennis legend Pete Sampras five time record at ATP World Tour Finals. Federer said he has not won a single Grand Slam title this year and painful defeat by his best rival Rafael Nadal of Spain in the French Open final at Roland Garros. Later, Federer lost US Open semi finals to World No. 1 Novak Djokovic in tough five sets and he was decided to take break from the tennis, where he spends time along with his wife and twin daughters.
Federer, who has spend six weeks with his coaches Paul Annacone and Severin Luthi, fitness trainer Pierre Paganini and his wife Mirka to return back to form. Swiss maestro said he is very happy to win the three consecutive ATP Tour championships at Basel, Paris and London to finish the season on 17-match winning streak. Federer also return back to No. 3 spot in the ATP Rankings, after pushing back Britain top seed Andy Murray, who was withdrawn from the ATP World Tour Finals event with groin injury last week.
The World No. 3 Federer said he is excited to play next season and will face a tough challenge against best players. He added Andy Murray has showed best performance this year and it’s unfortunate to fail at the end of the season.
