The former World No. 1 Roger Federer hopes to clinch the hat-trick of victories’ in London next year including gold medal in 2012 London Olympics, after his latest success at Arena O2 indoor hard court stadium.
The World No. 3 ranked Roger Federer has added 70th ATP Tour title to his record trophy collections on last week, after winning ATP World Tour Final championship for sixth time in his career. Federer said he is looking forward to return back to London on three occasions next year for Wimbledon, Olympics and ATP World Tour Finals. Swiss maestro has won gold medal in doubles along with Stanislas Wawrinka beating Thomas Johansson and Simon Aspelin in four sets with a 6–3, 6–4, 6–7(4–7) and 6–3 at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. Federer will play in mixed doubles along with former World No. 1 Martina Hingis at the 2012 London Olympics, schedule to start from 27th July to 12th August in London.
The 16-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer said he will give top priority to the London Olympic Games and hopes to be fully fit to take part, before heading to Olympics’. He added he is very excited and confident to play in the upcoming season and aiming to add 17th Grand Slam championship to his record collection. The 30-year-old Federer will return back to action at Exhibition match in Abu Dhabi, which will begin from 31st December.
